Mumbai: As Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal won recently held Delhi Assembly election for the third time in a row, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday congratulated Kejriwal and his party and also expressed gratitude towards BJP party workers for their hard work, in the run-up for the polls.
Speaking to the media, Tiwari said, “I thank the people of Delhi. I thank our party workers for their hard work, they have done a lot of work.”
Speaking on the election results and conceding defeat in the electoral battle, Tiwari said, “I accept the mandate of the people of Delhi and congratulate Arvind Kejriwal. I hope he performs well according to the expectations of the people will do.”
He also said that the election results will be evaluated and the party cadre should not be disappointed with this performance.
“We couldn’t do well, we will evaluate it. Sometimes we get disappointed when the results are not as per our expectations but I would like to say to my workers that they should not be disappointed … Our win over 2015 The percentage has gone up ”said Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari.

Counting continues today at 21 centers across the country amid tight security. Voting was held on 8 February for 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
As per the latest trends, AAP has won 11 seats and is leading on 52 others. The BJP has won one seat and is leading on six, out of the total 70 seats.
