“I am Disappointed With SC’s Decision,” Says Women Who Accused CJI Ranjan Of Sexual Harassment

Mumbai: The women who accused CJI Ranjan Gogoi of a sexual harassment case, has stated that she is “very disappointed with the a,” after Supreme Court gave a clean chit to Ranjan on Monday.

“I am at the verge of losing faith in the capacity of our system to deliver justice to the weak and vulnerable who are pitted against the powerful within the system itself,” she said in a statement.

She said that as a female citizen of India, he has been “gross injustice” and “the worst fears” have come true, and all expectations of justice and prevention from the Supreme Court of the land have been shattered.

In particular, the charges against CJI became public on April 20 when some news surfaced with web portal stories.

Though the CJI had recused himself midway of the hearing, he had described the allegations against him as “unbelievable” and had said a larger conspiracy was behind it and he would not stoop so low even to deny these allegations.
