I Am Ready To Step Down: Kumaraswamy On Karnataka Congress Mlas Saying Siddaramaiah Their CM

Mumbai: Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumarswamy on Monday said that Congress lawmakers are “crossing the limits” as they say Siddaramaiah should be the Chief Minister. He even said that the party should control its MLAs.

Adding the statement, Kumaraswamy said he is ready to step down as the CM.

Simultaneously, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said Siddarmaiah has been the “best CM”.

Aiming towards Siddaramaiah he said, Siddaramaiah was the Congress’s legislature party leader, and that “for the MLA, he is the CM”. He asked what was wrong in expressing this opinion.

On Sunday a leading reported that “senior leaders” in HD Kumaraswamy’s government, ‘including senior ministers” had supported Siddaramaiah for the Chief Minister post.

Quoting to Deccan Chronicle, C Puttaranga Shetty said, for him, Siddaramaiah is always the chief minister. I am indebted to him,” Backward Classes Welfare Minister.

Kumaraswamy government has faced multiple challenges since it came to power last May. The latest threat came earlier this month after the opposition BJP apparently tried to attract Congress MLAs to overcome the government.
