ICC World Cup 2019: Rohit Sharma Becomes Leading Run-Scorer In World Cup

Mumbai: Inform opening batsman Rohit Sharma the ‘Hitman’ has now become the leading run-scorer in an ongoing ICC tournament.

The development comes in the ongoing match against Bangladesh on Tuesday at Edgbaston.

Rohit has out behind Australian batsman David Warner who was in the top with 516 runs after today’s wonderful knock of 104 runs Sharma has reached towards 544 runs from his bat.

Meanwhile, he also becomes the first batsman to register his fourth century of the tournament.

On the other hand, Sharma also broke the record of most sixes by an Indian batsman earlier it was MS Dhoni with 228 six, and now it is Rohit Sharma who has registered 230 six for his side.

The 32-year-old has been in good form in the World Cup and he has scored four centuries and one half-century in the tournament so far.

Sharma has now registered centuries against South Africa, Pakistan, England, and Bangladesh in the tournament.

India is currently placed at the second spot in the tournament standings with 11 points. If they go on to win against Bangladesh, they will secure a semi-final berth in the tournament.
