ICC World Cup: India Defeats Pakistan For Seventh Consecutive Time In World Cup, Rohit Hits Second Ton Of The Tournament

Mumbai: Finally! the day arrived as India will take on Pakistan in Manchester City, England.

Fans were eagerly waiting for this day, whereas tickets were sold out before 2/3 days. Meanwhile, Rain was one of the huge destruction of today’s match. Looking after that the toss was one of the important factors as Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first as D/L would be in the favour of the team batting second.

Due to injury of Shikhar Dhawan India has to make forced change Vijay Shankar replaced him today will be playing his first World Cup match.

KL Rahul opened with Rohit Sharma and it was good toss lose as India had a good opening partnership of 136 runs Rahul played a wonderful inning of 57 runs but lost his wicket to Wahab Riaz.

Vice Captain Rohit continued his form as he hit his second ton of the tournament scored 140 runs in just 113 balls. Meanwhile, another class innings from captain Virat Kohli who scored 77 runs of 65 deliveries and became the fastest batsmen to score 11, 000 runs in just 222 innings (230 ODI).

With this India set a huge score of 336 runs in 50 overs with the loss of 5 wickets.

For Pakistan informs bowler Mohammad Amir to 3 wickets following Hasan Ali who provided 84 runs in 10 over spell provided 1 wicket.

Rain interrupted but not much affected in the match. Chasing the target of 336 runs Pakistan lost their 1st wicket in the form of Imam-ul-Haq as Vijay Shankar took his first wicket of the world cup.

It was good 100 run partnership between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam but again it was (Kulcha) the spinners of Indian teams Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvender Chahal bowled well which created pressure and Yadav was successful as he dismissed Babar. Later on, it was continued fall of wickets as Hafeez, Sarfaraz and Shoaib Malik completely failed to perform against Indian bowlers. It was complete poor batting performance by senior players of the team.

Due to rain interrupted at 35th over of Pakistan’s innings, the match was reduced to 40 over and it was just a formality as Pakistan was far away from the win.

For India Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Vijay Shankar provided two wickets with each. By which India easily defeated Pakistan with a 7-0 record.
