Illegal Goods Worth Of Rs 111 Crore Seized In Telangana

Mumbai : Before the Assembly polls begin in Telangana, illegal goods worth of Rs 111 crore has been seized on separate occasions so far in poll-bound Telangana says police officials.  As of now the state has requested nearly 279 companies of the central forces in which 240 has already arrived.

They will be assisting 30,000 local police personnel on duty for the December 7 Telangana assembly polls.

“Money influence in elections in India is going up. There is no denying of that. If you see the cash and goods’ seizure figures, it was Rs 76 crore during 2014 elections in combined Andhra Pradesh.”  Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar told to PTI.

He also said that any particular candidate is allowed to spend only 28 lakh on other hand there is no limitations on party’s election expenditure. There are 38 constituencies in the state under left wing extremist influence and Kodangal, is “politically sensitive” constituency from congress working president Revanth Reddy is contesting.
