India Announces It’s T20, ODI Squads Against West Indies, Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Returns

Mumbai: India has announced its squad of T20 and ODI series against the West Indies. Virat Kohli who was given rest from T20I’s against Bangladesh has been returned to the squad and will be the captain. Speculations were made that Rohit Sharma would be given rest for T20I/ODI series but he has been included.

Khaleel Ahmed who had poor performance in T20I’s against Bangladesh has been dropped from the side and experienced Mohammed Shami has been picked.

Shardul Thakur has also been dropped. He didn’t get any game to play in the last series. Bhuvneshwar Kumar makes his comeback into the team as he has been picked in both ODI and T20I squad. Deepak Chahar has also been recalled in the ODI squad as he has done great in recent T20I’s.

All-rounder Shivam Dubey has given another chance as he didn’t get too many chances to prove his batting but in the last game, he picked 3 important wickets. He has also been picked in the ODI squad.

Krunal Pandya has been dropped and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been added to the team. Krunal also had off series with the ball against Bangladesh. He was also sloppy in the field and dropped the important catch of Mushfiqur Rahim which cost the game for India.

Wrist Spinner Kuldeep Yadav makes his way back in T20I. Leggie Rahul Chahar has been dropped.

Sanju Samson has also been left out though he didn’t get the chance to play in any game. That means the Indian team will be sticking with Rishabh Pant as a wicketkeeper.
