India Breaks Single-Day COVID-19 Vaccination Record, Crosses 2Cr On PM’s Birthday
Mumbai: India has broken the previous single-day COVID-19 vaccination record of 1.33 crore doses by administering over 2 crore doses in around 10 hours on PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on Friday, according to CoWIN.

As of 5:20 pm, a total of 2,02,75,169 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far today.
According to reports, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is aiming to set a record for giving the maximum number of COVID-19 vaccine doses in a day to mark the PM’s birthday on Friday.
“I believe that today we’ll make a new record of vaccination and give it as a gift to the PM,” Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said earlier.
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the 77 crore mark as of Thursday.
