India COVID-19: Recovery Rate Stands At 97%, Fatality Rate At 1.44%

Mumbai: According to Central Health, in 11,427 new coronavirus cases a day, India’s COVID-19 tally has increased to 1,07,57,610, while the number of people suffering from the disease has risen to 1,04,34,983. The ministry’s data was updated on Monday. The national recovery rate rose to 97 per cent.

The death toll rose to 1,54,392 with 118 new deaths. The COVID-19 case fatality rate is 1.44 per cent, shown at 8 am. COVID-19 active cases remained below 2 lakh for the 13th consecutive day.

There are 1,68,235 active coronavirus infections in the country, comprising 1.56 per cent of the total caseload.

India’s COVID-19 Tally crossed the 20-lakh mark on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. On September 28, it crossed 60 lakhs, on 11 October it crossed the 70 lakh mark. On 29 October, 0 lakh, on 20 November, 90 lakh and on 19 December crossed the mark of one crore.

According to ICMR, 19,70,92,635 samples have been tested till 31 January, while 5,04,263 samples were tested on Sunday.
