India Crosses Landmark Of 19 Crore Vaccinations; Health Ministry

Mumbai: Since the world’s biggest inoculation vaccination drive kicked off in January this year, India on Friday has crossed the landmark figure of 19 crore vaccinations administered.

However, the cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country stood at 19,32,97,222.

“As of Day-126 of the vaccination drive (21 May 2021), a total of 13,83,358 vaccine doses were given out of which 12,05,727 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first dose and 1,77,631 beneficiaries received a second dose of vaccine as per the provisional report till 8 pm,” the Health Ministry said.

In the age group of 18-44 years, a total of 6,63,353 beneficiaries has received their first dose of the vaccine on Friday, and cumulatively 92,73,550 across 37 states and Union Territories since the start of Phase-3 of the inoculation drive.

So far, 97,37,237 healthcare workers have got their first dose and 66,89,893 have taken their second dose.

1,48,63,770 frontline workers have been administered their first dose, while 83,05,152 of them have got their second dose.
