India Defeat New Zealand In Super Over For 2nd Straight Time, Lead Series 4-0

Mumbai: It seems Super Over is not a cup of tea for Kiwis as India defeated New Zealand in the fourth T20I on Friday by chasing down 14 runs in Super Over.

It is India’s second straight Super Over victory in T20I cricket after having defeated New Zealand in the third T20I by chasing down 18 runs.

For team India, Manish Pandey scored a gritty half-century, whereas for Kiwis Tim Seifert and Colin Munro bagged a fifty each to keep the Kiwis on course for a win.

New Zeland lost 4 wickets in final over was Shardul Thakur give just 6 runs – while Kiwis needed 7 to win the game – to force the game into another one-over eliminator.

With the help of Manish Pandey brilliant innings teams, India set defendable score of 165 runs with the loss of 8 wickets.

Munro (64) and Seifert (57) top-scored for the Kiwi team and chased well under their control before putting up a wicket in the final over, derailing the entire Kiwi chase.

Batting first in the Super Over, the Kiwi team managed to score 13 against Jaspreet Bumrah, with Munro and Seifert scoring goals.

Chasing 14 runs, Rahul and Kohli did not waste much time in completing the goal of sending India up 4–0 in the 5-match series.
