India Has A Internation Support To Put JeM Chief Masood Azhar Under UN Sanctions Committee

Mumbai: External affair’s Minister Sushma Swaraj stated that India has received unparallel strength from the International sector to put terror base organization Jaish-e-Muhammad master chief Masood Azhar under the UN Sanctions Committee.

Swaraj tweeted saying, “I have shared these facts with you so that leaders who describe this as our diplomatic failure may see for themselves that in 2009, India was alone. In 2019, India has worldwide support.”

“In 2009, India under the UPA Government was the lone proposer. In 2016, India’s proposal was co-sponsored by USA, France and UK. In 2017, USA, UK and France moved the proposal’, Swaraj said.

“We have secured unprecedented support from the international community for a listing of Masood Azhar under the UN Sanctions Committee,” Minister Swaraj tweeted.

The proposal was accepted by 14 of the 15 UN security council members.

She further said, “In 2019, the proposal was moved by USA, France and UK and supported by 14 of the 15 UN Security Council Members and also co-sponsored by Australia, Bangladesh, Italy and Japan – non-members of the Security Council.”

China on Wednesday in United Nation’s Security Council (UNSC), once again rejected India’s proposal of declaring Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. This is been the fourth time when China blocks the proposal.

Although, the superpower permanent countries in UNSC, the US, France, and Britain has paused the proposal and pushed it ahead.

Masood Azhar, JeM chief is the master man behind the Suicide bombardment in Pulwama which handed the death of 40 Indian CRPF soldiers.

India being disappointed with China on this rejection says it will continue to collect ‘enough available avenues to make sure that the terrorist leaders who are behind such hilarious attacks are brought to justice.

China defended saying it needed ‘more time’ as it is ‘considering a comprehensive and depth review’. This rejection if China is been highly criticize.

Swaraj’s statement has come on a similar day when France has decided to freeze properties of Masood Azhar and had also stated that will raise the issue to other European countries to put Azhar on the list of Union list of person and group involved in terror activities.
