India is, Was & Will Be ‘Hindu Rashtra’: BJP Leader CT Ravi

Sudhakar rued the fact that modern Indian women preferred to be single and married women preferred surrogacy

Mumbai: Backing the Karnataka Minister K Sudhakar’s controversial statement on women, the BJP General Secretary leader CT Ravi on Monday said that Indian women are getting influenced by western culture and micro families.

“Every woman is not like this… It is happening because of western influence and micro families. In India, we still have faith in family unlike countries such as USA & UK,” CT Ravi said.

He also slammed Congress for appeasement of minorities and that India will be a Hindu Rashtra.

He added, “India is, India was and will be ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Earlier Congress did appeasement of minorities but now they know Hindus are united. Now, they are performing Durga puja & visiting temples. If you are Hindu, then don’t do it for just elections do it regularly.”

On World Mental Health Day, Sudhakar claimed that modernity in Indian society was leading to increased competition among people resulting in stress.

“Earlier, we lived in large families unitedly. We followed our religious beliefs. But in the last 2-3 decades, we started competing with each other, leading to stress. As Indians, we need to preach to the world how to handle stress because Yoga, meditation and pranayama are wonderful tools to deal with stress,” he said.

Furthermore, he also rued the fact that modern Indian women preferred to be single and married women preferred surrogacy.

“Unfortunately, today we are going in a western way. We don’t want our parents to live with us. A lot of modern women in India want to stay single. Even if they get married, don’t want to give birth, they want surrogacy. There is a paradigm shift in our thinking, it’s not good,” he added.
