Mumbai: India is in a race with itself competing to reach a larger upsurge at each passing day. The country reports 6,654 Covid-19 cases and 137 deaths in 24 hours as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The total number of cases in India has surged to 1,25,101 including 69,597 active cases and 51,783 recoveries. The death toll stands at 3,720.
Worst-hit state in India, Maharashtra has homes to 44,582 cases. Followed by Tamil Nadu and Gujarat with 14,753 and 13,268 positive cases respectively.
The National Capital Delhi witnessed 12,319 Covid-19 positive cases as per the statistics of MoHFw.
Today is the 60th day of nationwide lockdown imposed since 24th March due to the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over 3 Lakh lives globally. India stands at 11th position in the number of cases worldwide.
