India Remained Credible Partner In Nepal’s All-Round Development, Says PM At Jogbani-Biratnagar ICP Inauguration

Mumbai: In a recent development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepal counterpart- KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday jointly inaugurated the Second Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Jogbani-Viratnagar to facilitate trade and people move between the two countries. Made with Indian assistance to make.

“India has always played the role of a reliable partner in the all-round development of Nepal. The neighbourhood remains a priority of our government first. Increasing cross-border connectivity is its primary component,” said PM Modi

The Prime Minister said that India is committed to simplify and ease traffic with all friendly countries in the neighbourhood and to make connectivity between us more convenient in areas such as trade, culture, education, among other areas.

“Integrated check posts at major border points between our countries are encouraging mutual trade and movement,” Modi said.

The check post has been constructed with the help of India to ease trade and people move between the two countries, PMO India said in a tweet. This is the second ICP on the Nepal border. The first was built on the Raxaul-Birganj border in 2018.
