India Reports 30,941 COVID-19 Cases, Nearly 12,000 Cases Less Than Yesterday
Mumbai: India has reported 30,941 COVID-19 cases and 350 deaths in the last 24 hours. This comes a day after the country reported 42,909 cases and 380 deaths.
Kerala accounted for 63% of the new cases as it reported 19,622 cases and 132 deaths on Monday.
The new fatalities pushed the COVID death toll in the country to 4,38,560.
In the last 24 hours, 36,275 patients have recovered from the disease in the country, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,19,59,680. Right now the recovery rate is 97.53 percent.
The active number of COVID cases is 3,70,640 which is 1.13 per cent of the total cases.
The total number of samples tested so far is 52.15 crore. The current positivity rate is 2.22 percent.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday said that under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign, India has so far given more than 64.05 crore vaccine doses.
