India Reports 3,207 New COVID-19 Cases, Active Cases Stand At 20,403

Mumbai: India has reported 3,207 COVID-19 cases, 3,410 recoveries and 29 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This comes a day after the country saw 3,451 COVID-19 cases and 40 deaths.

The ministry said that 40 people have died due to Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours in the country. The daily positivity rate in India is 0.96 percent while the weekly positivity rate is 0.83 percent.

With 3,60,613 COVID-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the country has so far tested 84.06 crore samples for the detection of the infection.

On the vaccination front, the Health Ministry said that 190.20 crore vaccine doses have been given so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

So far, the Centre has provided more than 193.53 crore COVID vaccine doses to the states and union territories, out of which, over 18.47 crore balance and unutilized doses are still available with them.
