India Reports 3,962 New COVID-19 Cases, 2,697 Recoveries In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: India has reported 3,962 COVID-19 cases, and 2,697 recoveries in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This comes a day after the country saw 4,041 COVID-19 cases.

With this, India’s active COVID caseload stands at 22,416, which is 0.05 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.

The Health Ministry today informed that a daily positivity rate of 0.77 per cent was observed in the last 24 hours, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.89 per cent.

With 2,697 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries now stand at 4,26,25,454. India’s recovery rate is currently 98.73 per cent.

According to the Health Ministry, India conducted 4,45,814 COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours. According to the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the country has so far conducted a total of 85.22 crores (85,22,09,788) tests.

The country has so far given more than 193.96 crores (1,93,96,47,071) vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination campaign. “This has been achieved through 2,47,05,065 sessions,” the ministry said.
