India Reports 45,576 New COVID19 Cases, Tally Crosses 89 Lakh Mark

Mumbai: According to the updated data by the Union Ministry of Health on Thursday India’s COVID-19 tally has increased by 89.58 lakh rose with the latest 45,576 infections, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to over 83.83 lakh pushing the national recovery rate to 93.58 per cent. 

Total coronavirus cases amounted to 89,58,483, with 45,576 infections recorded in one day, while the death toll rose to 1,31,578 with 585 new deaths, shown at 8 am.

The number of active cases remained below 5 lakh for the ninth consecutive day.

There are 4,43,303 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which is 4.95 percent of the total caseloads to date.

The total recovery increased to 83,83,602, bringing the national recovery rate to 93.58 percent, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate is 1.47 percent.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 12,85,08,389 samples have been cumulatively tested till November 18, of which 10,28,203 samples were tested on Wednesday.
