Mumbai: India has reported 46,164 new COVID-19 cases and 607 deaths in the last 24 hours. Kerala accounted for over 68% of the new cases in India as the state reported 31,445 cases on Wednesday.

With this, India’s total COVID-19 cases reached 3,25,58,530, while the death toll surged to 4,36,365.

The total number of active cases in India is 3,33,725. The death toll so far is 4,36,365. According to the government, more than 60 crore people have been vaccinated so far. The total number of people vaccinated is 60,38,46,475. Of these, 80,40,407 were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.

According to government data, India’s recovery rate is currently 97.67 per cent. The active caseload in the country saw a sharp increase to more than 11,000 cases compared to Wednesday, when the increase was modest – 2,776 compared to the previous day. The active caseload stood at 3,22,327 on Wednesday.

According to the information shared by the Health Ministry on Wednesday, the weekly positivity rate in the country remains below 3 per cent for the last 61 days. As of yesterday, the rate was 1.92 per cent. The daily positivity rate was 2.10 per cent on Wednesday.
