India Reports 8,171 Positive Cases & 204 Deaths In 24 Hours
Mumbai: India has reported more than 8 thousand cases for the third consecutive day. The total number of Covid-19 cases in India surged to 1,98,706 as per the MohFw.
The country has 97,581 active cases while about 95,526 patients have been cured and discharged. The recovery rate has further improved to 48.19 per cent.
The death rate has also decreased to 2.83 percent as per the health Ministry. The total number of fatalities in India is 5,598.
The largest hit state Maharashtra has recorded 70,013 positive cases followed by Tamil Nadu with 23,495 cases and Delhi 20,834 COVID cases.
India is the 7th worst-hit country in the world after the US, Brazil, Russia, Spain, UK, and Italy.
Worldwide over 6 million people have been infected with the coronavirus that has claimed 3,77,515 lives.
