India Reports 9,996 COVID19 Cases, 357 Deaths In Last 24hrs

Mumbai: According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded the highest single-day spike in 9,996 more COVID-19 cases in the country in the last 24 hours, reaching a total number of coronavirus cases at 2,86,579.

With 357 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has risen to 8,102.

Of the total cases, 1,37,448 are active, while 1,41,029 have been cured/discharged/migrated.

Meanwhile, the number of patients who have been cured is more than the number of active cases in India for the second consecutive time. 

Maharashtra is the worst-hit state with 94,041 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu (36,841) and Delhi (32,810)
