India Reports Highest Spike In Day Of 14,516 COVID19 Cases & 375 Deaths In Last 24hrs

Mumbai: According to the Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare, India reported the highest single-day spike of 14516 new COVID19 cases and 375 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

With this, the total number of positive cases now stands 395048 including 168269 active cases, 213831 cured/discharged/migrated & 12948 deaths.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate of the country has increased to 53.79 percent from 52.96 percent in the past 24 hours.

The Health Ministry said that the trend in daily numbers shows an increasing rate of recovery and an increasing gap between active and recovered cases. It also said the increase in the proportion of recovered cases is a demonstration of India’s time management strategy of COVID19.

The total number of labs in the country has now increased to 960, with 703 government labs and 257 private labs. As of Friday 1,76,959 samples were tested in these labs and the total number of samples tested to date is 64,26,627.
