India Sees 10,302 New COVID-19 Cases, 267 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Mumbai: India registered 10,302 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. As many as 267 deaths were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, increasing the total death count to 4,65,349

Out of these, Kerala reported 5,754 new cases of the COVID-19 infection and 49 deaths.

Meanwhile, India’s active caseload stands at 1,24,868, which is now less than 1 per cent of the total cases from 0.36 per cent currently, the lowest since March 2020.

With the recovery of 11,787 people in the last 24 hours, the number of people who have been cured has gone up to 3,39,09,708. The recovery rate is currently 98.29 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.

According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate is 0.96 per cent. It has remained below 2 per cent for the last 47 days while the weekly positivity rate is 0.93 per cent, which is less than 2 per cent for the last 57 days.

India has so far tested 63.05 crore samples for COVID-19. Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 115.79 crore vaccine doses have been given so far.
