India Sees 33,750 New COVID-19 Cases, Highest In 107 Days

Mumbai: India has reported 33,750 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the highest since September 18, 2021.

The country also reported 123 deaths, taking the death toll to 4,81,893.

According to the ministry, 10,849 have also been cured in the last 24 hours in the country.

The country’s active caseload currently stands at 1,45,582. This is less than 1 per cent of the total cases which currently stands at 0.42 per cent.

The total number of people who have been cured is 3,42,95,407. India’s recovery rate is currently 98.20 per cent.

Meanwhile, with the administration of 23,30,706 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage increased to 145.68 crores (1,45,68,89,306) as of 7 am today, as per the provisional report.

A total of 68.09 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted in India so far.
