India Strongly Condemns ‘Barbaric’ Terrorist Attacks In Afghanistan: MEA

Mumbai: The Ministry of External Affairs says that India strongly condemns Barbaric Terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. Terror attacks targeting hospitals in Kabul are crimes against humanity.

The statements came after Afghanistan witnessed terror attacks on Tuesday in a maternity hospital in Kabul. The militants killed around 16 people including 2 new burns and their mothers. 

Moreover, a suicide bomber was placed in a funeral ceremony in Nangahar Province that killed 24 people and left 68 injuries behind. 

We extend our sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” the MEA said. 

“There can be no justification for such acts of terrorism”, added MEA.

Afghanistan is frequently a focal point for both IS and the Taliban for killing militants and security forces including civilians. However, the Taliban has denied its involvement.

Soon after the attack, Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani announced that their security forces would launch attacks on Taliban insurgents and would no longer act in a defensive posture.
