India Strongly Condemns Statements Made By Pak Leader Including Call For Jihad, Violence In India: MEA

Mumbai: Reacting to Pakistan leader comments over ‘Jihad’ India strongly condemned “highly irresponsible” statements by Pakistani leadership on withdrawal of special status to Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the provocative statements include “call for jihad and inciting violence in India.”

Earlier on Monday, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan attacked India over its decision to repeal the provisions of Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said that Pakistan has been using terrorism as a state policy against India and it should stop exporting terror.

“Indirect reference to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s comments on India’s internal affairs, it has been said that we strongly condemn the highly irresponsible statements by the Pakistani leadership on internal affairs for India,” he said.

“These statements contain references to jihad and are intended to incite violence in India, to deal with a dangerous situation that is the ground reality. Pakistan needs to understand that the world has based its lies and deceit Seen through provocative rhetoric,” Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
Imran Khan has been continuously attacking India for the last three weeks over his decisions on Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday, Khan said he would raise the issue at every international forum in the United Nations General Assembly.
