India Will Be First Country To Introduce ‘Artificial Intelligence’ In Schools Under NEP: Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank

Mumbai: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said on Thursday that India will be the first country to introduce Artificial Intelligence in schools as students of India are rich in talent.

“We have brought a vocational stream through this new education policy from internship to class 6th. A student will not only study but also get exposure to the field. Students will become ‘atmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) once they pass from school, ”Pokhriyal said.

Pokhriyal addressed “Shiksha Samwad” on “Vision of making India a Global Knowledge Superpower” via video conferencing today.

“This policy was put in the public domain to welcome more suggestions. This education policy is born after considering all the suggestions in detail. If we talk about teaching in mother tongue language then the topmost developed countries are teaching their students in their mother tongue language only,” he added.

He further said that “A student will be able to conduct a 360-degree overall assessment with the help of this policy (NEP). He will be able to self-assess, his parents, teachers, and co-students will also be able to do the assessment as well.” 

The Education Minister said We do not oppose any language.

“No language will be imposed on anyone, but a student should have the freedom to learn as many languages ​​as he wants or as much as he wants. We will connect our past with our future through this policy.”
