India Win An ODI Series In New Zealand After Ten Years

Mumbai: India V/s New Zealand, India clinch the series and took the lead of 3-0 India of their ongoing five match ODI series. India defeat the host by seven wickets remaining in third ODI.

Batting first New Zealand scored only 244 runs, poor batting performance by the host, though Ross Taylor played well (93) missed his century by 7 runs short and Tom Latham (51).

Chasing a small total of 244 runs Indian openers Rohit and Shikhar brought a good start had a partnership of 39 runs, meanwhile Dhawan lost is wicket scoring just 28 runs.

The next batsman to walk in was inform batsman Virat Kohli. Both Sharma and Virat had a partnership of 113 runs.

Rohit Sharma equalled MS Dhoni’s record for most ODI sixes for India and became the fourth fastest Indian after Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar to reach 10,000 List A runs.

India lost their second wicket, Sharma put his wicket down scored 62 runs meanwhile after two overs Kohli was also sent back to the pavilion scored 60 runs dismissed by Boult. Meanwhile, Virat hits his 100th list A fifty becomes the fifth Indian to do so after Tendulkar, Ganguly, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid.

Later on Ambati Raydu and Dinesh Kartik put the things off had 72 runs unbeaten partnership to finish on the winning side.

India will be playing their fourth one-day match on 31 January at Seddon Park.
