CSK and MI are the most successful team in the tournament. Whereas Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma have won the trophy four times and Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni for three times.
In 2019 it was Rohit Sharma’s side who defeated MS Dhoni to lift the cup in a nail-biting final match by 1 run.
Well, this year both the teams looked as strong as they were and as expected the opening match between both the teams was a thriller. And the yellow aarmy registered a 5-wicket win against Mumbai in the IPL 2020 opener played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
