Indians Will Be Vaccinated By 2024-25 If Vaccination Continues At The Current Pace, Shiv Sena Slams Centre Over COVID-19 Vaccine Strategy
Mumbai: Shiv Sena, through its mouthpiece Saamna, launched another scathing attack on the central government, saying that the vaccination system in the country is paralyzed, which is why so many deaths have taken place in India.
Stating that the vaccination strategy by the Center should be more comprehensive, the Shiv Sena praised the Supreme Court for this observation.
Shiv Sena said in Saamana that thousands of crores of rupees have been deposited in the Prime Minister’s treasury to win the fight against Coronavirus, but there is neither bed, no medicine nor oxygen in the country.
It further states that all Indians will be vaccinated by 2024-2025 if vaccination continues at the current pace.
It further said that if the vaccination continues at the current pace all Indians will only be vaccinated by 2024-2025.
“The virus will take on a new form every time and pharmaceutical companies will continue to make a profit by launching new vaccines,” it said.
The apex court has said that it cannot be a “silent spectator” when the constitutional rights of citizens are violated by executive policies and termed the Centre’s COVID-19 vaccination policy as “arbitrary and irrational”.
The top court also asked the Centre to provide information including as to how Rs 35,000 crore, earmarked for vaccines, has been spent so far, and to place on record all relevant documents and files.
