India’s Daily COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise With 3,62,727 New Cases, 4,120 Deaths

Centre Rushes High-level Teams To 10 States/UT Witnessing Surge In COVID Infections

Mumbai: India has reported 3,62,727 new COVID-19 cases and 4,120 deaths in the last 24 hours, as the country witnessed a rise in daily cases for the second day.

The total number of cases has reached 2,37,03,665, while the death toll has surged to 2,58,317.

Meanwhile, 4,120 more people died in the past 24 hours due to the infection.

In the last 24 hours, 3,52,181 people have been discharged from various hospitals and medical facilities across India, taking the total discharge to 1,97,34,823.

There are currently 37,10,525 active cases in the country right now.

As per the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), 30,94,48,585 samples have been tested up to May 12 for Covid-19. Of these 18,64,594 samples were tested on Wednesday alone.
