India’s First Terrorist Was Hindu: Kamal Haasan
Mumbai: Founder of Makkal Needhi Maiyam actor turned politician Kamal Haasan has created controversy by commenting free India’s first “terrorist was a Hindu,” referring to Nathuram Godse who killed Mahatma Gandhi.
While addressing an election campaign here Hassan said that he was one of those “proud Indians” who wish India with equality and where “three colours” in the Tricolor, a clear reference to different religions, “Be persistent.
“I am not saying this because it is a Muslim dominated area, but I am saying this before a statue of Gandhi.
India’s first terrorist was Hindu, it is named Nathuram Godse, where it starts (terrorism, obviously) it happens.” he said.
He said, “Good Indian desires for equality and wish that all three colours remain in the Tricolor. I am a good Indian, proudly declare that”.
Arvakurichi is one of the four assembly constituencies where the bye-elections will be held on May 19. MNM has launched S Mohanraj in this area.
