INDvsENG: We Have Best Bowling Attack In The World, Won’t Bother What The Ball Can Bring To The Table, Says Virat Kohli

Mumbai: Ahead of the pink ball test India skipper Virat Kohli said that team has the best bowling attack in the world among other teams.

Kohli feels that the day-night test is equally ready for both sides as India have the “best bowling attack” to take advantage of marginal conditions.

He said, “We have been playing good cricket for years now (to make sure that the host team does not have to give even an inch to the guest team), our focus is entirely on our team. I really like it is. I am not really bothered about what the strength and weaknesses of the English team are.”

“If the track is seamer-friendly for them it is for us as well and we probably have the best bowling attack in the world among other teams. So don’t really bother about what the ball can bring to the table. We are ready for anything that comes our way,” he added.

The Indian captain also told how the visiting team dominated the first Test match against Australia and it was just 45 minutes of poor cricket that suffered India’s defeat in the day-night Test.

“Both are bizarre experiences for the two quality sides. If you asked England the same question (that you would be out for 58), they would not be the answer. You understand that on that particular day things go a certain way. It happens. Things are out of your control and nothing seems to go right and that’s what exactly happened to us in Adelaide. Barring our 45 minutes of bad cricket we dominated the first Test against Australia,” said Kohli.

“We are confident about how we played the pink ball test in Australia. These are experiences from which you learn that it is not a mental injury or anything because we have done well in the Test series,” he said.

India won by 317 runs against England in the second Test of the four-match series continuing to make it to the finals of the ICC World Test Championship.
