Mumbai: Instagram on Monday announced a new feature ‘Guide’, which allows users to easily find ‘recommendations, tips, and other content’ from their favorite creators or public figures.
“We want Instagram to be a place where you can easily find reliable information and inspiration from your favorite accounts. That’s why we provide an easy way to find guides, recommendations, tips, and other content from your favorite creators, public figures, organizations, and publishers on Instagram,” Instagram said in a statement.
In addition, the facility will first focus on welfare content as the world is currently dealing with the coronovirus epidemic.
“We know that many people are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we are focusing guides on wellness content first. We will be able to connect with specialist organizations to share resources during this time, including ways to take care of you. Being well, maintaining a connection with others, or managing anxiety or grief, “read the statement.
Like IGTV, the guide has its own section in the user’s profile. When viewing a guide, users can view posts and videos that the creator has curated, paired with helpful tips and advice.
Users will be able to share a guide for their story or in Direct by tapping on the Share button in the upper right corner.
