IOC Suspends Discussions With India On Hosting Rights, After Pakistani Shooter Denied To Enter Country

Mumbai: In a wake of Pulwama attack India denied to enter Pakistani shooter to enter the country participate in ISSF World Cup in New Delhi. The responsibility of the attack was taken by Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed. The attack on Indian forces is the most fatal till now, it killed 40 CRPF jawans and injured many. Due to which IOC has now decided not to entertain India in future talks related to hosting the event for future events unless written approval is received from the government.

“IOC banned withdrawal of recognition in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol event as Olympic qualification program, in which two Pakistani athletes were to participate. In a statement after the meeting of its executive board on Thursday, the IOC said that it was in the interest of the other 500 athletes from 61 countries who are participating in other competitions, which are already in India.
