Mumbai: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) registered a thrilling win over Mumbai Indians as the match was seen in two Super Overs following which Chris Gayle said “History just happened” and he was glad to be on the winning side.

His statement comes after KXIP defeated Mumbai Indians after two back-to-back super overs at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. It was the first time that two super overs were bowled in the game.
In the super over, Jaspreet Bumrah conceded just five runs, and the Mumbai Indians team looked set for a comfortable win. However, Mohammed Shami took the turn and gave just five runs against Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock and as a result, the match went into the second super over.
Chris Jordan came out to bowl for Punjab and conceded 11 runs. In the end, Mayank Aggarwal and Gayle got the job done for the team led by KL Rahul.
With a win against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, KXIP is in sixth position with six points from nine matches and will face the Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium next Tuesday, October 20.
