IPL 2021: It’s Going To Be Next Level: Maxwell On Playing Under Virat At RCB

Mumbai: Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell said “it’s going to be next level” to team up with India captain Virat Kohli at RCB in IPL’s next edition.

In the auction held on February 18, Royal Challengers Bangalore included Maxwell for a whopping INR 14.25 Cr at the Auction on 18 February will join Kohli and AB de Villiers in the side.

“It’s going to be the next level,” Maxwell told AAP.

“He has been the pinnacle of the game for a while as a multi-format player from Test to T20.”

The Australian said that he and Kohli have developed a good friendship over the years as opponents.

“He solidly supports my stand,” said Maxwell.

“In a way, he probably understood a lot of the things I was going through … a lot of hope and pressure, which I’m sure he could relate to.”

Maxwell, who did not have a good season with Punjab last year, will be keen to repay the confidence shown in his abilities this year, which has been going through a recession for some seasons of the IPL.
