IPL Auction 2020: Australian Pacer Pat Cummins Becomes Most Expensive Overseas Player In The History Of Tournament

Mumbai: All eyes were on Australian Pace bowler Pat Cummins in ongoing IPL Auction 2019, and as predicted earlier Cummins has become one of the most expensive overseas players as he sold for 15.50 Cr to Kolkata Knight Riders.

The bid started with Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals, Pat Cummins base price was 2 crore and it went up 15 Cr but surprisingly KKR made its bid of 15.50cr which made RCB to take a step back.

As of November 2019, Cummins is the top-ranked Test bowler, seventh-ranked Test all-rounder and fourth-ranked ODI bowler in the world, according to the ICC Player Rankings.

In the 2018 IPL auction, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians for a price of 5.4 crores. Cummins was later ruled out of the entire tournament due to an injury.

He is bought by Kolkata knight riders for a whopping amount of 11.50Cr. And in 2019 once again he has been brought b KKR in 15.50cr.
