It Was All About Conspiracy To Remove Sena Govt From Maharashtra: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to oust his party from Maharashtra.

This comes after NCP chief Sharad Pawar claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered him to “work together” during the recent turmoil in Maharashtra. However, he refused the offer.

In particular, it was Pawar who is believed to have initially convinced the reluctant Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi to give her consent to form an alliance with the Shiv Sena.

“Conspiracies were being hatched to remove Shiv Sena from Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar Sahab was tried as part of the conspiracy, but he did not fall for it, ”Sanjay Raut was quoted as saying by a news agency on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena in an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ today asked why it took BJP five years to realize the ‘usefulness and experience’ of Sharad Pawar.

“We wonder why it took the BJP five years to realize Pawar’s utility and experience. If the NCP got less than 55 seats in the assembly elections, the BJP would not try to woo the party.”

In the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, the BJP bagged 105 seats, Shiv Sena – 56, NCP – 54 and Congress – 44.
