Jacqueline Made Conman Sukesh Pay ₹15 Lakh To Writer For Web Series Script: ED

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate, in its supplementary charge sheet filed against Jacqueline Fernandez, claimed she admitted that conman Sukesh Chandrashekar gave ₹15 lakh in cash to writer Advaita Kala for a web series script. This contradicts her earlier statement to the investigating agency that she gave only chocolates and flowers to Kala.

As per the charge sheet, Kala, an honour-winning screenwriter and writer, let the ED know that she was drawn closer by Fernandez in 2021 to compose content for a web series being delivered by her.

The ED has asserted that Rs 15 lakh was sent by Sukesh to Kala, who had looked for settlement ahead of time for the gig. This exchange is presently essential for the ED examination.

The ED has asserted that in her explanation enrolled on August 30, Fernandez rejected that Sukesh had sent Rs 15 lakh to Kala in the primary seven-day stretch of August 2021 for her sake. All things being equal, she told ED, that she just gave chocolates and blossoms to the essayist.

In her subsequent proclamation recorded on October 20, 2021, she conceded that Sukesh had conveyed Rs 15 lakh in real money to Kala at her home as “he was quick to create the film”, the charge sheet states.

The ED expressed that Kala, in her explanation recorded on October 6, 2021, let the organization know that she got a call from an individual who presented himself as the “DLF executive’s secretary” and said he was approaching the sake of Fernandez. He told her he would send a parcel containing a development.

“It won’t be awkward to make reference to here that Fernandez conceded about the exchange of Rs 15 lakh on October 20, 2021, in the wake of recording the assertion of Ms Kala,” the charge sheet read.

At the point when the ED went up against her about the inconsistencies between the two articulations, Fernandez said this was a result of dread of the ED, stress and notoriety of her relatives, the charge sheet expressed.

In the October 20 explanation, Fernandez likewise conceded to having gotten four felines and a pony named ‘Espuela’ from Sukesh, “which she was allowed to utilize”. She likewise conceded that she got $15,000 from Sukesh, which was shipped off her sister’s ledger, however, she said this was a credit for her home loan on a house, the charge sheet states.

She rejected that Sukesh purchased a BMW vehicle for her sister. On claims that Sukesh moved $50,000 to her sibling in Australia, she said the sum was Rs 15 lakh, the charge sheet states.

The ED expressed that in her past articulations, Fernandez didn’t reveal about the pony, felines, different gifts and the cash move to her kin’s financial balances.

“She didn’t uncover these realities all alone; she possibly revealed these realities when she was gotten some information about the equivalent and on understanding that the examination would know about something very similar.
