Jammu And Kashmir Reports 132 New COVID-19 Cases

Mumbai: Officials said that 132 fresh COVID-19 cases, including 28 passengers, were reported in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 1,28,679 people received the infection on Monday, even a new death due to the virus in the last 24 hours.

He said that out of the latest cases, 28 were from the Jammu division and 104 were from the Kashmir division of Union Territory.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 77 cases, including 16 passengers, followed by Jammu district with 25.

In the last 24 hours, 34 passengers tested positive for infection. While six districts did not report any fresh cases, 12 other districts had single-digit cases.

Officials said that the number of active cases, which has been steadily increasing for the past one week, has now reached 1,336 in the Union Territory, while 1,25,362 patients have been cured so far.

The death toll in Jammu and Kashmir due to the disease is 1,981 as no fresh fatality was reported in the past 24 hours, they added.
