Jammu Kashmir Allotted With Help Line Numbers

Mumbai: There has been a complete communication shut down in the Kashmir valley. Schools are closed and public meetings are banned, amidst this blackout the government has provided the residents and students of Kashmir or people living out of Kashmir with Helpline numbers.

The imposition of article 144 on J&K has put the entire state in a standstill and there has been no activity in the state after that. The government has provided two numbers on which the people could contact families in the case of an emergency. The numbers are 9419028242 and 9419028251.

These numbers are allotted so that the J&K residents in the times of emergencies could contact their families or the officials. Fours days ago, the government of India had imposed article 144 on the J&K region owing to which the telephone networks, internet and any other mass mediums were shut down, even police were asked to communicate using satellite phones. Only the messages from the governmental regions were conveyed to media, the people in J&K had completely lost the ability to communicate with the others outside the state.

Section144 was imposed with so that any riots or violent activities do not take place when the article 370 was being abrogated.
