Mumbai: Officials said Jammu and Kashmir registered 55 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 1,25,007 people suffering the latest deaths due to the disease in 24 hours.
He said that 17 of the latest cases were from Jammu division and 38 from Kashmir division of the Union Territory.
Officials said that Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 19 new cases. The figure includes 11 passengers.

While nine districts did not report any new cases, 10 other districts had single-digit new cases.
Officials said that the number of active cases in the Union Territory was 593, while 1,22,470 patients have been cured so far.
The death toll in the union territory due to the epidemic is 1,944.
