JeM chief Masood Azhar’s Brother Among 44 Arrested In Pak

Mumbai: Nearly 44 member of the banned militant outfits arrested by authorities in Pakistan, reports states chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed Masood Azhar’s brother has also been arrested.

Mufti Abdur Rauf, brother of Azhar, and Hammad Azhar are 44 people arrested during the crackdown, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi said at a press conference here.

He said that in the last week a dossier shared by India with Pakistan, Mufti Abdur Raouf and Hammad Azhar was also named.

However, the minister said that no action was taken because of any pressure. He said that action will be taken against all the proceeding organizations under the National Action Plan.

He said that the proceedings will continue for two weeks and action will be taken against the arrested members on the basis of evidence.

The minister said that his government’s policy is that Pakistan’s soil will not be allowed to carry out terrorist activities against anyone.

In the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, on February 14, 40 CRPF soldiers died due to a ban on tensioned groups with India after the suicide attack by a militant group of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed.
