Kanakadruga Who Entered Sabarimala Temple Attacked By Family Relatives

Mumbai: Kanaka Durga women who entered the Sabarimala temple a few weeks ago, was attacked by her mother-in-law. Durga and Bindu were the two women who entered the temple nearly 3.00pm at night and by becoming the first in centuries to enter the Sabarimala hill temple in Kerala.

As soon as the incident came into light, she was admitted to a hospital at Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district.

As per reports she was beaten up by her mother-in-law with a wooden plank on her head. In order to ensure the security of Kanakadurga, the police in the surrounding area immediately rushed him to the hospital.

“There was a verbal fight between Kanaka and her mother-in-law as the latter opposed Kanaka coming back to home. She has been admitted to hospital and the Sub Inspector is recording her statement,” Perinthalmana police told to The News Minute.

Kanakdurga and Bindu Ammini, both in their early 40’s, have been moving from one secure place to another because of the attack of right-wing protesters in the last two weeks because they used to pray in the temple. Both women had returned to their original places on Tuesday.

As per reports, her family was against her as they were in the favor of temple tradition and customs.
