Kane Williamson Shoulder Injured Rushed, Taken For Scan

Mumbai: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was rushed towards the hospital today as he got his shoulder injury during the match against Bangladesh today.

Williamson faced problems while batting during New Zealand’s innings and had to be taken to the hospital for scans to determine the severity of his injury.

While batting he was attended twice by the medical staffs for his shoulder. In spite of the injury, Williamson knocked a 74 of 105 deliveries with the help of seven fours and a solitary six.

New Zealand posted a strong 396/4 on the board in their first innings with Williamson combined with Ross Taylor (195) to score 172 runs for the second wicket.

A team staff described the step to take Williamson for scans as a ‘precautionary,’ measure. If serious, the injury can prove to be a huge blow for New Zealand.

Whereas the end of the fourth day, Bangladesh scored 80 runs with the loss of 3 wickets, still tailing from New Zealand by 141 runs.
