Karnataka’s Murugha Mutt Seer Sent To 4-Day Police Custody For Raping 2 Minor Girls

 

Mumbai: A district court in Karnataka’s Chitradurga on Friday sent Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, the chief pontiff of Sri Murugha Mutt, to four-day police custody for allegedly raping two minor girls.

Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru will be in police custody till September 5.”

“As per reports, the Police had requested the bench for 5 days of custody.

Prior on Thursday, Karnataka Police captured Sharanaru for the supposed rape of two minor young ladies.

Prior in the day, the central pontiff of Sri Murugha Mutt, Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru was moved to a region medical clinic in the wake of grumbling of chest torment from where he was subsequently taken to the locale meetings court.

The Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai said that his administration isn’t responsible to answer allegation of “delayed” arrest of the seer of Sri Murugha Mutt, Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru over the supposed rape of two minor young ladies and added that the state police have been given full opportunity in treatment of the case.

During a media interaction, CM Bommai said, “We don’t need to answer any allegations. I have already said that everything will be done according to the law. It’s not appropriate to speak now. We have given a free hand to the police and they’re doing their job.”
