Kerala : 620 Km Long Women Wall For Gender Equality

Mumbai : What an initiative took by women’s to support gender equality, nearly 50 lakh women formed a 620km  long ‘Womens Wall’ in Kerala.

The event took place at the national highway which stretched from the northern trip of Kasaragod to the southern end in Thirvananthapuram.

As per reports lakhs of women’s from all over country took part in this parade, it said that  the parade has been organized by the government of Kerala.

“Gender equality is an aspect of freedom. Women have beenlaunching the protests, marches and strike have access to their rights enshrined in the constitution. Who can prevent a devotee from reaching God? It is golden moment for women to show that it is they have got a right to enter the temple and no one can stop them” one of the demonstrator said to ANI.   

“The moment is partly organized by the government for the participation of the women from north and south to say that we want to work ahead. We want gender equality and justice as we are living in a democratic society.” Another women said.
