Kesari Trailer: 21 Sikhs V/S 10,000 Afghans On The Battlefield
Mumbai: Trailer of much-awaited film Kesari starring Akshay Kumar is out is based on the true story of one of the bravest battles that India ever fought – the Battle of Saragarhi. The year is 1897 and the British Empire had conquered most of India, is now trying to infiltrate Afghanistan.
The film has Parineeti Chopra opposite Akshay Kumar.
Akshay is inspiring as the fearless Havildar Ishar Singh. The actor tweeted the trailer on Thursday morning.
Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar), a proud warrior who prefers to live by his community rules, is often found in direct conflict with the orders of his British officers.
And it is cute but sweet to the slander that the Ishar goes on in the battle when an army of 10,000 Afghani Pathans is converted into Saragari on the 12th day of 1897. This battlefield now has 21 Sikh versus 10,000 Afghans.
Talking about the film, Akshay had earlier said, “I am known for a witch, prosthetics and so on, and Kesari is quite demanding. This is probably my favourite look, although this avatar is fighting and sweating I will not change it for the world.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Produced by Karan Johar, film Kesari is all set to hit the silver screen on 21st March.
